Do I need to prepare for a BodyTalk session?

No particular preparation is necessary, however as in other energy therapies tight clothes and under-wire bras may interfere.
At the time of the session electronic devices, watches and jewellery may interfere, as well so I may ask you to remove them if necessary.

If it's your first BodyTalk session please arrange to arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time to fill out the intake form


What am i going to I feel during and after a BodyTalk session?


Most people feel relaxed and peaceful during and after a session
After a session they feel more clear headed, and some people may feel slightly dizzy for a few minutes
It's important to drink some water after a session as well to facilitate the removal of toxins and all the biochemical processes
However, it's also normal not to feel anything particular after a session, as the BodyTalk formulas may need time to initiate


What is going to happen during a BodyTalk session?


I will ask you to lie on the massage table and I will use your hand to establish a subtle communication with your body, through yesses and nos.
I'd like to stress that this is very different than the muscle testing in applied kinesiology so no effort on your part is necessary
I will then proceed to find out the priorities your body wants  to address by asking a series of questions to your body
Once the priorities are found I will apply a light tapping on the head to ask the brain to restore the communication between the parts, and a light tapping on the sternum to ask the body to store the links in every cell


Will I experience a healing crisis?

Healing crisis happen when your body's priorities are not taken into account, for instance if you decide to do a liver cleanse before the intestines are ready to handle all the garbage you may feel bad before you feel better
In BodyTalk we don't call that a healing crisis, we call it mismanagement

We work with the body's priorities so this risk is not present and the majority of people just experience getting better and sometimes forgetting their problems
However, in some conditions a bona fide healing crisis may occur, but when it does it's of short duration
For instance if you have a virus and it's been addressed, you might have a slight temperature for a day, and that is the natural body's way of getting rid of the virus
If emotions have been addressed you might have different bowel movements, since that is the way the body handles the removal of emotional energy
Also, in some PaRama level work some dizziness, tiredness and need to sleep might be experienced

These reactions don't happen to everybody and are not a sign of BodyTalk working or not working, we are all unique


Is BodyTalk safe?

No one can be hurt with BodyTalk. Your body’s own Innate Wisdom is running the session.



Do I need to do anything after a session?

As stated above, it's important to drink water, and it will be provided in the clinic as well
If you're tired take care of yourself and rest
If “homework” is needed your body will tell me during the session, but homework is rare
For instance if an allergy or intolerance has been addressed you might need to avoid the offending substance for a while
If PaRama level work has been done a particular application of the cortices technique on a daily basis may be advised to help the process started by the session


When will my condition get better?

Short answer: Sometimes your main condition for the BodyTalk session can be addressed in one to three sessions, and sometimes it can take up to 5 or little more, but even in those cases most people find that some of the other complaints stated in their intake form get better, sometimes dramatically, after three sessions
After 3 session we will reevaluate together your intake form, to see what has shifted. When I go over this most people are surprised to find out they forgot they even had a problem!
Longer answer: BodyTalk is known for “one-session miracles”, so many people have high expectations, and even though these “miracle sessions” happen they are not the rule
BodyTalk is a therapy, and like in acupuncture or chiropractic a series of sessions may be needed to address your problems
Your condition didn't just appear overnight even if in some cases it might seem so and the symptoms you're experiencing are the tip of the iceberg formed over the years by many emotional, environmental and lifestyle factors
BodyTalk sessions melt chunks of the iceberg until it disappears, but until all the ice is cleared some symptoms may still be present
Like in any other therapy I recommend committing to a course of 5 sessions
Some people find that they want to continue with BodyTalk even when their complaints have disappeared, as health maintenance or for spiritual growth

When should I come back for the next session?

The time between sessions may vary and at the end of a session, I will ask your body what is the best time for your next session
In general I find that the average time is between 2 and 4 weeks
